Last year I bought a new iMac. In less than a month it will reach that critical point that marks the end of the one-year warranty. Sometime last week I received a snail-mail packet encouraging me to purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan. Today I received an email entitled Last chance to protect your iMac. I almost expect Vinnie and his big cousin Tony on my doorstep making me an offer I can’t refuse.
